These additional taxes fund programs which can provide monetary benefits to your nanny if they have a qualifying life event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">California<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CA requires employee contribution of SDI.  Alternatively, it is allowed for employers to pay this for their employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CA SDI covers both <a href=\"https:\/\/edd.ca.gov\/sdi_online\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Disability and Paid Family Leave claims<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Colorado<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Colorado requires contribution to Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program (FAMLI) at a rate of .45% for small employers. Alternatively, it is allowed for employers to pay this on their employee&#8217;s behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total premiums must be remitted on a quarterly basis at <a href=\"https:\/\/famli.colorado.gov\">https:\/\/famli.colorado.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connecticut<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Connecticut requires contribution to CT Paid Leave at a rate of .5% for small employers. Alternatively, it is allowed for employers to pay this on their employee&#8217;s behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total premiums must be remitted on a quarterly basis at <a href=\"https:\/\/ctpaidleave.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">https:\/\/ctpaidleave.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">District of Columbia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>DC requires employer funded contribution of Paid Family and Medical Leave at a rate of .26% in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total premiums must be remitted on a quarterly basis at <a href=\"https:\/\/does.dc.gov\/page\/dc-paid-family-leave\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">https:\/\/does.dc.gov\/page\/dc-paid-family-leave<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Massachusetts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>MA requires contribution of Paid Family &amp; Medical Leave, withheld from your nanny&#8217;s paycheck.&nbsp; Alternatively, it is allowed for employers to pay this on their employee&#8217;s behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rate is 0.46% for small employers in 2024. Total premiums must be remitted on a quarterly basis though the mass.gov website at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mass.gov\/paid-family-and-medical-leave-information-for-massachusetts-employers\">https:\/\/www.mass.gov\/paid-family-and-medical-leave-information-for-massachusetts-employers<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New Jersey<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NJ has temporary Disability and Family Leave contribution requirements.
